Select a world, then an option to 're-create world' will become available. Here you can choose the game type. (creative, survival, etc). Gamerule command is a tricky way to modify different settings of Minecraft which aren’t accessible through normal settings.

Tick speed command

The command is very simple, just needing one parameter and that’s the speed, with maximum number being 250 and the minimum 40.

The command for tick speed is like the following:

/gamerule randomTickSpeed 100

In case you want the random ticks to be disabled altogether enter ‘0’ for this number.

Both Bedrock and Java Editions support this method.

Using this method you could change the speed for various items behavior in the game – such as leaf decay, plant growth, etc.

randomTickSpeed default

Depending on the edition which you play the game, there are two default numbers for randomTickSpeed.

The default value for this gamerule is one, if playing on Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

So, unfortunately, other than entirely disabling random ticks you have no other choice – if your intention is slowing down the game.

On the other hand, with ‘3’ being the default value in Minecraft Java Edition, you could always set the game tick speed slower by changing the number to one or two – or zero in order to disable it.
